Daba Markets Inc., through its Daba Finance platform, has entered into a strategic distribution arrangement with Coronation Securities Limited and Coronation Asset Management Limited to expand digital access to Nigeria’s capital market for eligible international investors.
The arrangement, announced on September 2, 2026, combines market intelligence, investor education and digital investment access to connect eligible investors globally with opportunities in Nigeria’s capital market.
Daba Finance serves eligible clients globally through Daba Advisors LLC, an investment adviser registered with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), with eligibility determined by the laws applicable in each investor’s jurisdiction.
Under the arrangement, Daba Finance will serve as Coronation’s corporate client through a trust structure, enabling eligible users of its platform to access Nigerian capital-market products made available by Coronation.
Users will interact with the Daba Finance platform, while the underlying Nigerian capital-market services will be provided within the country’s regulated framework by Coronation’s SEC-registered businesses.
Three Key Areas of Partnership
The strategic arrangement focuses on market intelligence, investor education and digital access.
Through the market intelligence component, Daba Finance will feature Nigerian market news, data, research and analysis supported by Coronation’s research and market expertise.
The partnership will also provide investor education through courses available via Daba Academy and Coronation Investment Academy, alongside jointly delivered webinars.
The educational programmes are designed to help new and experienced investors understand Nigeria’s capital-market instruments, institutions, safeguards, opportunities and associated risks.
Under the digital access component, eligible Daba Finance users can access Nigerian capital-market products made available by Coronation through the Daba platform.
The functionality includes fully digital onboarding, multi-currency funding, investment request and trade placement, as well as investment reporting, with funding accepted in multiple currencies.
Daba Finance will manage the user journey through its platform, while Coronation will provide relevant Nigerian capital-market expertise and products under the corporate trust arrangement.
Commenting on the partnership, Boum III Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Daba Finance, said the arrangement would help address challenges faced by Africans in the diaspora and international investors seeking exposure to African markets.
“Millions of Africans in the diaspora and investors around the world follow African markets closely but find it hard to participate from a distance because accessing credible information and navigating local market structures can be challenging.
“This arrangement helps to close that gap by combining Coronation’s deep Nigerian market expertise with Daba’s technology and international reach,” he said.
Anthony Miclet, Chief Product Officer of Daba Finance, said the platform was developed to bring market intelligence, investor education and access to African investment opportunities into one digital experience.
He said the arrangement would integrate Coronation’s Nigerian market research, expertise and investment products into the Daba platform, allowing eligible users to move from market information and education to informed participation.
Similarly, Jibola Odedina, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Coronation Securities Limited, said Nigeria’s capital market offered significant opportunities for investors seeking exposure to one of Africa’s dynamic economies.
He noted that increasing participation required more than access to investment products, stressing the importance of credible market intelligence, investor confidence and understanding of the investment environment.
“Through this arrangement, we are combining Coronation’s deep market expertise with Daba’s digital reach to make the Nigerian capital market more visible, understandable and accessible to a broader international investor audience,” Odedina said.
Aigbovbioise Aig-Imoukhuede, Managing Director of Coronation Asset Management Limited, said investor education remained fundamental to the development of healthy and sustainable capital markets.
She said the objective was not only to broaden access to investment products but also to equip investors with knowledge about opportunities, risks and principles that should guide their investment decisions.
