The Acting Customs Area Controller of the Oyo/Osun Area Command, DC Wale Moses Adewole, has reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to enhanced inter-agency collaboration following a series of courtesy visits to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service in Oyo State.
The visits were aimed at strengthening institutional relationships and improving operational synergy among the sister security agencies in the discharge of their statutory responsibilities.
During the engagements, DC Adewole emphasized that effective national security management depends on sustained cooperation, mutual support, and intelligence sharing among relevant government agencies. He noted that the Nigeria Customs Service remains committed to working closely with sister agencies to combat smuggling, secure national borders, and promote lawful trade.
He further explained that the courtesy visits formed part of the Command’s broader strategy to consolidate existing partnerships and enhance communication channels for coordinated responses to security challenges across Oyo and Osun States.
In their responses, the leadership of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Nigerian Correctional Service commended the initiative and reaffirmed their readiness to sustain cordial working relationships with the Nigeria Customs Service in pursuit of shared national security objectives.
The Oyo/Osun Area Command reiterated that inter-agency cooperation remains essential to effective security administration and the protection of government assets and the general public.
