The Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, has inspected the Customs Training College, Goron Dutse, Kano, as part of preparations for the commencement of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Recruitment Training Programme.
Adeniyi conducted the inspection on Saturday, August 29, 2026, to assess the readiness of the training institution, including its facilities, ongoing projects, logistics and general capacity to accommodate the incoming recruits.
The Comptroller-General was received by the Zonal Coordinator, Zone B, Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs Nsikan Umoh; Comptroller, Federal Operations Unit Zone B, Aminu Sule; Commandant of the Customs Training College, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Umar Atiku; and other principal officers and heads of units.

During the inspection, Adeniyi reaffirmed the NCS’s commitment to providing the facilities, logistics and conducive environment required for effective training and professional development of the new recruits.
He emphasised the importance of ensuring that the college is adequately equipped to deliver quality basic training that would prepare the recruits for their responsibilities and future roles within the Nigeria Customs Service.

The Commandant of the Customs Training College briefed the Comptroller-General on the institution’s activities, ongoing developments and preparations for the arrival of the recruits.
Adeniyi subsequently toured various facilities within the college to assess their condition and level of preparedness ahead of the commencement of the training programme.
