The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has continued his statewide familiarisation tour with a working visit to the Ifo Area Command, reaffirming the Command’s commitment to intelligence-led policing, stronger community partnerships, and enhanced public safety.
The visit featured engagements with traditional rulers, local government officials, security agencies, community leaders, and police personnel aimed at strengthening collaboration and sustaining peace across the Ifo axis.
CP Ojajuni began the tour with a visit to the palace of the Olunla Agbodere Kinni and Olu of Itori, HRM Oba Abdulfatai Akorede Akamo, who commended the Commissioner for his leadership and efforts in improving security across the state. The monarch noted that residents now enjoy improved protection of lives and property under the current police administration.
In response, the Commissioner appreciated the royal father for supporting officers serving in the area and highlighted the successes of Operation Kosaye, assuring the traditional institution that the Command would sustain intelligence-driven policing while seeking continued support in providing timely local intelligence to prevent crime.
The police chief also paid a courtesy visit to the Olorile of Orile Ifo, HRM Oba Abdul Semiu Adewale Ogunjobi, where he reiterated the importance of collaboration between the police and local communities in tackling insecurity. He emphasized that Operation Kosaye had strengthened security operations and appealed for sustained grassroots support.
The monarch praised the Commissioner’s proactive leadership, jokingly describing the visit as an “August visit in July,” and reaffirmed the commitment of his domain to supporting the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies in maintaining peace and promoting economic growth.
The tour concluded at the Ifo Area Command Headquarters, where CP Ojajuni was received by the Area Commander, ACP Williams Oluwaseyi, alongside officers and men of the Command.

The Commissioner further encouraged residents to make effective use of the Gateway Shield digital platform to report suspicious activities, assuring them that credible information would be handled professionally and acted upon promptly.
Addressing officers and men of the Ifo Area Command, CP Ojajuni charged them to remain disciplined, professional, and dedicated to their responsibilities, urging them to be worthy ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Force.
