He noted that technology has become an essential part of journalism—supporting, enhancing, and automating the work journalists do. The workshop convened key stakeholders to share experiences and explore effective applications of AI in newsrooms.
He also underscored the need for strong ethical standards and clear guidelines to ensure AI is used professionally and appropriately within the media industry.
