The Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation (AACCF) has inaugurated and handed over a fully equipped high-speed Tech Hub at Emmanuel Anglican Primary School, Italupẹ, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, in a move aimed at expanding access to digital education for public primary school pupils.
The facility was officially launched on January 19, 2026, marking a significant step toward bridging the digital divide between pupils in public schools and their counterparts in private institutions, while promoting early exposure to technology and digital literacy.
Designed as a safe, structured, and future-ready learning space, the Tech Hub is equipped with network-enabled desktop computers loaded with licensed educational software, high-definition projectors, projection screens, and child-friendly ergonomic furniture.
The centre is powered by a solar energy system with inverters and battery storage to ensure uninterrupted learning, while comprehensive safety features—including CCTV surveillance, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, reinforced access controls, secure window fittings, and adequate ventilation—have been installed.
The launch ceremony attracted key stakeholders in education and governance, including the First Lady of Ogun State, Her Excellency Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun; the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele; education professionals, religious and community leaders, partners, and educators.
The Foundation acknowledged the institutional support of First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Providus Bank Limited, and Microsoft, as well as executional support from Teach For Nigeria, whose contributions were instrumental to the successful delivery of the project.
Speaking at the event, the Founder of the Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation, Mrs. Adeola Azeez, reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to inclusive education and sustainable community development.
“For the economy to truly progress, the grassroots must progress first. Development cannot be concentrated at the top alone. By investing in public primary schools and equipping children with digital tools early, we are laying a strong foundation for inclusive growth that benefits communities and the nation,” she said.
Commending the initiative, Deputy Governor Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele described the project as impactful and visionary, noting the Founder’s passion for empowering women and children.
“What stands out is her dedication to creating opportunities for others, especially women and young learners,” she stated, adding that the Tech Hub would enhance teaching methods and broaden pupils’ exposure to digital skills.
Also speaking, the First Lady of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, applauded the Foundation for its sustained investment in education and youth development, stressing that government alone cannot address developmental challenges.
“It is heartening to see individuals and organisations giving back to society through initiatives that directly impact young people. Partnerships like this are essential for meaningful development,” she said.
Delivering a goodwill message, the Chief Executive Officer of Teach For Nigeria, Mrs. Molade Adeniyi, described the Tech Hub as a pathway to digital inclusion and long-term educational impact.
“This is more than a technology launch. It is a gateway to curiosity, creativity, innovation, and opportunity. The hub will nurture digital literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while exposing pupils to tools shaping today’s economy,” she said.
The initiative aligns with Ogun State’s education and inclusive development agenda, underscoring the importance of early exposure to technology in building academic excellence and global competitiveness.
Other dignitaries at the event included the Diocesan Bishop of Ijebu Anglican Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Peter Rotimi Oludipe; Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu; Executive Secretary of Ijebu Local Government Area, Hon. Dare Alebiosu; and Executive Chairman of Ogun State SUBEB, Evangelist Olalekan Ifede.
With the commissioning of the multi-million naira Tech Hub, the Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation reiterated its commitment to bringing technology closer to grassroots communities, disclosing plans to establish similar hubs in more public primary schools within the year. The Foundation also called on corporate organisations and institutions to support efforts aimed at empowering communities through education, technology, and sustainable development.
