Victoria Uwadoka retires after 10 years with company
Nestlé Nigeria has appointed Toritseju (Toju) Egbebi as its Corporate Communications and Sustainability Manager, effective November 1, 2026, following the retirement of Victoria Uwadoka after 10 years with the company.
Egbebi, who currently serves as Corporate Affairs Manager, brings 18 years of experience in public relations and corporate communications across the technology, financial services and consumer goods sectors.
Since joining Nestlé Nigeria, she has played a key role in strengthening the company’s corporate reputation, public affairs and stakeholder engagement.
Through the company’s Nestlé for Good platform, Egbebi has also contributed to increasing awareness of its investments in healthier nutrition, community development and environmental sustainability, while strengthening relationships with the media and other stakeholders.
Uwadoka, during her decade at Nestlé Nigeria, played a significant role in advancing the company’s corporate reputation, stakeholder relationships and Creating Shared Value agenda.
Her leadership helped drive communications and sustainability initiatives across nutrition, youth empowerment, agriculture, water stewardship, environmental responsibility and community development.
She also championed employee engagement and helped communicate the company’s corporate and sustainability priorities in ways that promoted public understanding and trust.
Beyond her work at Nestlé Nigeria, Uwadoka contributed to the development of Nigeria’s communications profession through industry leadership, advocacy and mentorship, promoting strategic communications as a driver of business growth and societal progress.
Commenting on the transition, Nestlé Nigeria’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Wassim Elhusseini, expressed appreciation for Uwadoka’s contributions and confidence in Egbebi’s ability to build on the company’s achievements.
He said Uwadoka had made significant contributions to the company over the past decade, noting that her leadership, professionalism and commitment had benefited both the business and the communications profession.
Elhusseini wished her success in her next chapter and expressed confidence in Egbebi’s experience, judgement and ability to strengthen the company’s communications and stakeholder engagement.
He added that effective communication and stakeholder relationships remained essential to building trust and demonstrating the positive impact of the company’s operations in Nigeria.
