Nestlé Nigeria Plc has commenced applications for its 2026/2027 Community Scholarship Programme, reaffirming its commitment to supporting education and empowering young people in its host communities.
Since the initiative was launched in 2020, the company has supported more than 250 students, easing the financial burden of higher education while creating opportunities for beneficiaries to achieve academic excellence.
The scholarship programme, which is targeted at students studying Science and Technology-related courses, provides financial assistance for tuition, books, and other educational expenses.
According to the company, the initiative is aimed at equipping young Nigerians with the knowledge and skills required to contribute meaningfully to the country’s socio-economic development.
Nestlé said the programme has recorded remarkable success, with more than 70 per cent of tracked beneficiaries either maintaining or graduating with First Class honours. Beyond financial assistance, the scholarship has enabled recipients to remain focused on their studies and pursue their academic ambitions with confidence.
Applications are open to eligible students from Agbara, Sagamu and Abaji communities.
For the tertiary education category, applicants must be current 100-level students studying Science or technical courses and must have scored at least 200 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Applicants for the secondary education category must be SS1 Science students who obtained a minimum of five credit passes in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Eligible candidates are encouraged to complete the online application form for the 2026/2027 Nestlé Nigeria Community Scholarship Programme. The company noted that all applications will be verified by relevant educational institutions, community unions and community leaders to ensure a transparent and credible selection process.
Applications will close on August 28, 2026.
One of the programme’s beneficiaries, Kazeem Fatai, a recent graduate of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), who earned a First Class Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, described the scholarship as a turning point in his academic journey.
According to him, “Receiving the Nestlé Community Scholarship was more than financial support; it was a vote of confidence in my future. Knowing that Nestlé continued to invest in my education year after year motivated me to stay committed to my goal of graduating with a First Class. Today, I am proud to have achieved that dream, and I hope my story inspires other young people to remain focused, work hard, and make the most of every opportunity they receive.”
Speaking on the initiative, Victoria Uwadoka, Corporate Communications, Public Affairs and Sustainability Lead at Nestlé Nigeria, said the scholarship programme reflects the company’s belief that business growth should go hand in hand with community development.

She added that the scholarship programme is part of Nestlé for Good, the company’s broader commitment to creating shared value through education, skills development, nutrition education, youth empowerment and other initiatives that promote healthier and more sustainable communities.
