Three Crowns Milk, one of Nigeria’s leading dairy brands produced by FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc, has crowned Olaide Adesina as the Three Crowns Mum of the Year 2026, rewarding her with an all-expenses-paid family trip to Zanzibar, Tanzania.
Adesina emerged winner at the grand finale of the brand’s flagship wellness initiative held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the Classique Event Centre, Oregun, Lagos.
Now in its eighth edition, the Three Crowns Mum of the Year competition has grown into one of Nigeria’s foremost initiatives dedicated to celebrating mothers whose resilience, sacrifice and commitment continue to strengthen families and communities.
Adesina joins the list of exceptional women recognised by the brand over the years for their inspiring personal stories and dedication to family values.
At the competition, Omotola Ade-Onojobi and Hajara Omoniyi emerged first and second runners-up respectively. The top three winners, alongside two family members each, received an all-expenses-paid trip to Zanzibar, a one-year supply of Three Crowns Milk products and shopping vouchers.
The other finalists—Akpan Chika Cindy, Edna Kangna’an and Rita Robert Joseph—received a double-door refrigerator, a supply of Three Crowns Milk products and a cash prize of ₦500,000 each.
The 2026 grand finale, themed “Crowning Our Treasures,” featured an immersive theatre-style presentation that brought the finalists’ personal journeys to life through drama, live music and stage performances.
Hosted by media personality Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori (Kiekie), the event culminated in a suspense-filled announcement of the winners before an audience comprising families, consumers, business partners, stakeholders and members of the media.
According to the organisers, the competition attracted more than 150,000 valid entries from mothers across Nigeria. Entries were screened by an independent panel before the 10 most inspiring stories advanced to the semi-final stage, where contestants canvassed for public votes on the brand’s social media platforms.
Following the voting process, six finalists progressed to the grand finale and were assessed by a panel of judges, including Chizzy Alichi Mbah, Ifedayo Durosinmi-Etti, Jamila Lawal and Ekerette Ekemini (Kemen Fitness).
The judges evaluated contestants based on physical wellness, mental agility, emotional intelligence and family engagement.
Speaking at the event, Marketing Director of FrieslandCampina WAMCO, Maureen Ifada, said the initiative remains the company’s way of appreciating mothers for their invaluable contributions to their families and society.
“For over a decade, Three Crowns Mum of the Year has been our way of saying thank you to the women who hold our families and our nation together.
“Tonight’s edition raised the bar, not just in scale, but in heart. Every mum who stood on this stage reminded us why we remain committed to championing the health and wellbeing of Nigerian mothers, because when mums thrive, families flourish,” she said.
Also speaking, Marketing Manager of Three Crowns Milk, Chioma Otisi-Igwe, described mothers as everyday heroes whose sacrifices often go unnoticed.
She said the brand would continue to champion initiatives that promote the health and wellbeing of mothers, noting that stronger families are built when mothers receive the care and support they deserve.
An emotional Adesina, while reacting to her victory, expressed gratitude for the recognition.
“I never imagined my story would bring me here. I entered this journey as an ordinary mum doing my best for my family, and tonight I stand crowned before Nigeria. This is for my children and for every mother out there giving her all every single day. Your sacrifice is seen, appreciated and truly matters,” she said.
Three Crowns Milk reaffirmed that the Mum of the Year initiative reflects its long-standing commitment to supporting Nigerian mothers through nutrition, healthy living and impactful programmes that recognise their vital role in building healthier families and stronger communities.
