CP Ojajuni Engages Stakeholders at Ogun PCRC Monthly Meeting
ABEOKUTA — The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Bode Ojajuni, on Tuesday attended the monthly meeting of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), where he engaged stakeholders on strengthening community policing and improving security collaboration across the state.
The meeting, held in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, focused on sustaining stakeholder engagement and deepening partnerships between the police and local communities.
During the meeting, critical stakeholders discussed strategies aimed at strengthening intelligence sharing, improving public safety coordination, and building greater trust in policing operations across Ogun State.
Participants also deliberated on enhancing community-driven approaches to crime prevention and improving early response mechanisms within local communities.
Speaking at the meeting, the PCRC Chairman, Lawal Abdullahi, commended the Commissioner of Police for personally attending the monthly engagement, describing it as the first time a serving police commissioner in Ogun State had participated directly in the committee’s meeting.
He said the development demonstrated strong leadership commitment to community policing and pledged the continued support of the PCRC towards maintaining peace and security in the state.
In his remarks, CP Ojajuni appreciated members of the PCRC and other stakeholders for their continued collaboration with the Ogun State Police Command through intelligence sharing, advocacy, and community engagement.
He noted that effective policing can only thrive through strong partnerships with the public, stressing that sustained stakeholder engagement remains vital in addressing emerging security threats and ensuring public safety.
The police commissioner reaffirmed the command’s commitment to intelligence-led, proactive, and people-oriented policing, assuring residents that the Ogun State Police Command would continue to strengthen collaboration with stakeholders in line with ongoing national policing reforms aimed at safeguarding lives and property.
