The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has reaffirmed the importance of strong inter-agency collaboration following a series of strategic familiarization visits to key security formations across the state.
The visits, conducted on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, took the police chief to the 35 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ogun State.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, the engagements were part of deliberate efforts to deepen cooperation, strengthen operational synergy, and enhance coordinated responses to evolving security challenges in the state.

At the 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta, CP Ojajuni was received by the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Godwin U. Nwamba. Discussions focused on consolidating the existing military–police partnership, with both leaders reviewing joint operational frameworks and identifying areas for improved coordination in rapid response, intelligence-driven deployments, and synchronized patrols across security flashpoints.
The police commissioner also visited the DSS Ogun State Command, where he was received by the State Director, R.A. Adelakun. Talks centered on strengthening intelligence-led security operations through improved surveillance, proactive intelligence gathering, and timely sharing of actionable information to prevent security threats before they escalate.
At the Nigeria Immigration Service headquarters in Ogun State, CP Ojajuni met with the Comptroller of Immigration, Olufunke Yetunde Odusote.
Their discussions highlighted the need for tighter border security and migration control, with emphasis on curbing illegal migration, human trafficking, smuggling, and cross-border crimes through enhanced intelligence sharing and joint monitoring of border communities.
Similarly, at the NSCDC Ogun State Command, the police chief was received by the State Commandant, Remilekun Omolade Ekundayo. Both parties emphasized the protection of critical national infrastructure, including public utilities and strategic installations, while agreeing to strengthen joint operations against vandalism, sabotage, and other criminal activities.
CP Ojajuni expressed appreciation to the leadership and personnel of the various agencies for their continued cooperation and commitment to maintaining peace in Ogun State. He described inter-agency synergy as a critical pillar for effective policing and noted that the visits were aimed at consolidating existing partnerships while building stronger operational frameworks.
He further reaffirmed the Ogun State Police Command’s commitment to enhancing coordination, deepening intelligence sharing, and sustaining joint efforts to ensure the safety of lives and property across the state.
