The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has removed the names of David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola from its official portal as National Chairman and National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), respectively.
The development, which surfaced on the commission’s website, has stirred political attention, raising questions about the current leadership structure within the party. While INEC has yet to issue a formal statement explaining the change, the update suggests a possible shift or dispute in the ADC’s national leadership.
Observers note that such alterations on INEC’s portal often reflect ongoing internal party processes, court rulings, or official notifications submitted to the electoral body. However, without clear communication from either INEC or the party, the exact reason behind the removal remains uncertain.
As political stakeholders monitor the situation, the ADC is expected to clarify its leadership position in the coming days to avoid confusion among members and the public.
