The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has launched a two-day state-wide training program for security operatives in Lagos State, aimed at strengthening inter-agency collaboration, enhancing operational efficiency, and building human capacity across all security agencies.
The training, held on Wednesday, March 25, and Thursday, March 26, 2026, was described by LSSTF Chief Executive Officer and Executive Secretary, Dr Ayo Ogunsan, as a “veritable platform” to recognize the support of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and to foster mutual trust among security personnel in the state.
Dr Ogunsan explained that the initiative aims to equip participants from various security agencies with the skills and knowledge needed to ensure a safer Lagos. He also noted that the training will continue in batches over the next ten months, urging participants to maximize the opportunity to drive meaningful improvements in security operations.
The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro, praised the governor and LSSTF leadership for the initiative, describing it as a major step in enhancing the intellectual and operational capacity of security operatives.
He emphasized that joint training programs like this would reduce friction among agencies and strengthen collaborative efforts.
Keshinro also acknowledged the support of the distinguished service commanders of the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Road Safety Corps, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps, other participating agencies, and the media for their unwavering support since his tenure began.
