Oyo/Osun Customs Area Command Reaffirms Collaboration with International Breweries Plc
The Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in order to enhance operational efficiency and boost revenue generation.
As part of efforts to deepen existing collaboration, a delegation from International Breweries Plc, Ilesha, paid a courtesy visit to the Operational Headquarters of the Command on Thursday, February 5, 2026.
The delegation was received by the Acting Customs Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller of Customs (DC) Wale Moses Adewole, who expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a clear demonstration of the company’s commitment to institutional cooperation. He identified International Breweries Plc as a critical stakeholder of the Nigeria Customs Service and commended the company for its consistent compliance with the provisions of the Nigeria Customs Service Act governing excise operations.
DC Adewole stressed the importance of sustained synergy between the Service and excise factories, noting that such collaboration is vital to the achievement of the Service’s core mandates, particularly in trade facilitation, regulatory compliance and revenue generation. He urged the company to maintain the level of cooperation previously extended to the Command and assured the delegation of Customs’ continued support in providing a transparent, efficient and conducive operational environment that promotes mutual growth.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Operational Manager of International Breweries Plc, Ilesha, Mr. Emmanuel Onabanjo, thanked the Acting Customs Area Controller and principal officers of the Command for the warm reception. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to sustaining a cordial and productive relationship with the Nigeria Customs Service and pledged continued compliance with all statutory requirements.
Mr. Onabanjo further assured the Command of International Breweries Plc’s readiness to provide timely information and necessary assistance to Customs officers deployed to the factory to enable them to effectively carry out their duties.
The visit, according to the Command, underscores the Nigeria Customs Service’s stakeholder engagement strategy aimed at promoting voluntary compliance, strengthening public-private partnerships and ensuring seamless excise administration. The Oyo/Osun Area Command reiterated its resolve to deepen collaboration with compliant organizations in line with the Service’s overarching goal of supporting national economic growth and development.
