A senior officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Funmilayo Oluwamayokun, and her teenage daughter, Sewa Lasisi, have been declared missing in Ogun State.
The 39-year-old Superintendent Route Commander and her daughter were last seen on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at their residence in Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, but have not returned home since.
According to a statement issued on Friday by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, the incident was reported to the Kemta Divisional Police Headquarters on Tuesday, November 5, 2025, by a fellow FRSC officer and the victims’ family.
The police said all efforts to contact the officer and her daughter have been unsuccessful, raising concerns about their safety.
Oluwamayokun, a Superintendent Route Commander, is responsible for overseeing key operational activities and route enforcement for the FRSC in Abeokuta.
“The Ogun State Police Command is appealing to the public for assistance in locating SRC Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi,” the statement said.
It added that the Commissioner of Police has ordered a full-scale investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding their disappearance and ensure their safe return.
The command urged anyone with useful information to contact the nearest police station, assuring that all details provided would be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
