Servant of the Most High God and Founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has called on the Nigerian Army to deploy drones and airstrikes consistently over the next three weeks.
According to him, the operations must be massive and unrelenting to ensure that Boko Haram and bandits are decisively weakened, to the point where they lose influence in any local government area.
Primate Ayodele noted that under the leadership of the current Chief of Army Staff, no local government has been under the control of bandits or terrorists, attributing this to improved military strategies and commitment.
Primate Elijah Ayodele, Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has commended the Chief of Army Staff for the Nigerian Army’s recent successes in the fight against terrorism, particularly for preventing bandits and Boko Haram insurgents from holding any local government hostage.
In a statement, the cleric urged the army to intensify their efforts by deploying drones and launching consistent airstrikes over the next three weeks. According to him, such a strategy would help decapitate terrorist groups and significantly weaken their influence.
“Nigerian Army, I want to recommend to the Chief of Army Staff that he must use drones and airstrikes for the next three weeks. It should be very massive to stop Boko Haram from taking over any local government,” he said.
He stressed that the terrorists are hiding within local communities and urged a concentrated effort on states like Adamawa, Katsina, Niger, and Benue, where major bandits and Boko Haram kingpins operate. “These are the states to focus on so their plans can be destroyed,” he added.
Primate Ayodele warned against the use of large convoys, saying it poses a security risk. “The army should avoid moving in large convoys to prevent ambush or bombing. Surveillance must be done before any operation,” he advised.
He expressed optimism that the army would win the war but cautioned against complacency. “Let’s pray against a black day in the army where several soldiers could be bombed. The Chief of Army Staff is doing well, and with the right strategy, they will overcome,” Ayodele concluded.
