The General Overseer of Christ the Goodnews Evangelical Ministry Worldwide, Lagos, Apostle Akinsola Michael, has released his highly anticipated prophetic message for the year 2026 — a yearly tradition noted for its striking accuracy in previous years.
In his divine revelations, Apostle Akinsola highlighted major spiritual, national, and global shifts expected to unfold in 2026.
He began with a message for the Church, declaring that the year will bring “spiritual earthquakes” — profound shakings that will expose hidden matters and lead to significant displacements within the Body of Christ. “The earth will swallow many things,” he said, signifying divine judgment and restructuring.
He prophesied the death of a prominent General Overseer, after which the ministry would be divided into twelve factions, leading to intense court battles and internal strife.
On the national front, the Apostle foresaw three major “shakings” in Nigeria: beginning with the Senate, followed by the Presidency — where some close to power would be suddenly removed and may expose sensitive secrets — and a general economic reshaping. Notably, he predicted a temporary nationwide school closure lasting three months due to civil unrest.
Globally, Apostle Akinsola warned of impending conflicts involving America and an Asian nation, as well as tensions between China and another country.
Despite these warnings, he prophesied that Nigeria’s economy would improve and experience greater stability in 2026.
He also emphasized that pastors and servants of God who remain faithful will experience divine elevation, and that outdoor crusades would witness more signs and wonders this year.
“God is shaking the earth, but those rooted in Him will not be moved,” Apostle Akinsola concluded, urging believers to remain prayerful and grounded in faith.
