In a heartwarming celebration that united two families and cultures, Angela Ijeh and Ayodele Olumodeji were joined in holy matrimony in December 2025. The festivities were a vibrant blend of tradition, faith, and joy that deeply moved all who attended.

The celebration began on December 18th with the traditional engagement ceremony held at the bride’s family home in Ayobo, Lagos. Guests were immersed in the rich customs of both Edo and Yoruba traditions, with Angela and Ayodele formally introduced and blessed in the presence of loved ones. The event, themed in champagne gold and wine, was a stunning reflection of heritage and unity.
On December 20th, the white wedding took place at Calvary Bible Church, Idimu, Lagos State, where the couple exchanged vows in a spirit-filled service. Surrounded by family, friends, and spiritual leaders, the moment was marked by worship, gratitude, and deep emotion
The celebration continued at Regal Castle Event Centre, where the couple was welcomed with dancing, music, and overflowing joy. The reception, themed in sky blue, showcased elegance and appreciation for love, family, and new beginnings.
Angela, daughter of the late Mr. Edward Egbadon Ijeh of Uromi, Edo State, was proudly represented by her elder brother, Mr. Kingsley Ijeh, who stood in for their late father.
According to Mr Kingsley, “Growing up without our father was not easy,” he shared. “I had to do everything I could to fill that gap so Angela wouldn’t feel the absence too deeply. But honestly, that gap was never easy to fill.”
Speaking about the groom, Mr. Ayodeji Olorunmide, he said, “What impressed me most about him is that he’s a remarkable young man.
After observing him closely, I found that he is extremely patient, intelligent, and capable of taking good care of Angela.”
“I’ve come to see him as a brother, and we’ve built a strong bond in such a short time. That alone makes me like him even more—he’s truly a lovable person.”
Offering his wishes and advice to the couple, he added, “As a father, I wish them lasting success in their marriage. My advice is simple: marriage requires patience, tolerance, and sacrifice. Every marriage has its challenges. There is fire in every marriage—but knowing how to quench that fire is what makes you a man.”
He concluded with heartfelt prayers for God’s love to remain with the couple and for them to be fruitful in every area of their lives.
The chairman of the occasion, Dr. Dedegu Uchenna Chukwuegbu, Presiding Bishop of His Glory Chapel International Church, Lagos, opened the event with a heartfelt prayer.
His wife, Rev. Chy Chukwuegbu (HGCIC/WAC), delivered a powerful message to the couple, urging them to walk in love, patience, and unity.
High Chief Engr. Patrick Anegbe, a distinguished member of the bride’s family, added a touch of warmth and hospitality to the wedding reception. Accompanied by his special guests and family members, he was a gracious host throughout the event.
Known for his humility and care, he went from table to table, personally ensuring that all guests were comfortable and well taken care of. His presence and attention to detail left a lasting impression on everyone.
Rather than making an early exit, High Chief Anegbe remained at the venue until the very end of the celebration, a true show of commitment and love for the couple. His quiet but powerful gestures reflected the values of family, unity, and respect that defined the entire celebration.
Amusan Kemi delivered a heartfelt toast that added elegance and depth to the celebration, while JB Best Live Band kept the crowd energized with vibrant music and dance.
