When news broke that Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, had been appointed as the Anambra State Coordinator for the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, it immediately sparked widespread conversation. But beyond the headlines lies a deeper narrative—a powerful story about the kind of unifying politics Nigeria urgently needs. It is an affirmation that shared vision and purposeful governance will always supersede strict party affiliations.
The dynamic is as intriguing as it is historic. Governor Soludo was elected under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), while President Tinubu leads the All Progressives Congress (APC). For the President’s campaign to entrust the Anambra State Governor with coordinating its 2027 re-election efforts in the state is a massive statement. It proves that true progressives—regardless of their political umbrellas—can align for the country’s greater good. More so, it underscores the formidable political and intellectual weight Governor Soludo carries, not just across the Southeast, but throughout the nation.
