Award-winning comedian brings Guilty as Charged home after sold-out UK and Canada performances
Award-winning Nigerian comedian, actor and writer Bovi Ugboma is set to conclude his 2026 world tour with two highly anticipated performances in Benin City and Lagos in October.
The tour, titled Bovi: Guilty as Charged, will begin its Nigerian homecoming in Benin City on October 1, before reaching its grand finale on October 11 at the Convention Centre, Eko Hotel, Lagos.
The Nigerian shows follow a successful international tour that began in the United Kingdom during Easter, where Bovi sold out Indigo at The O2 in London.
He subsequently took the comedy tour to Canada, performing in six cities, including Toronto, Calgary and Edmonton. All six Canadian shows reportedly sold out, further highlighting Bovi’s growing international appeal.
With the international leg completed, Guilty as Charged now returns to Nigeria for its final two performances of the 2026 tour.
The Benin City show will kick off the homecoming leg, while Lagos will host the tour’s closing performance.
Known for his observational humour, sharp storytelling and fearless commentary, Bovi has built a career spanning nearly two decades across stand-up comedy, television and film.
His performances frequently explore relationships, society, popular culture and everyday experiences, earning him a reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading comedians.
Productions such as Bovi: Man on Fire and Naughty by Nature have further strengthened his position in the Nigerian entertainment industry, attracting audiences both locally and internationally.
Guilty as Charged represents the latest chapter in Bovi’s comedy journey and brings him back before Nigerian audiences after the tour’s successful sold-out performances abroad.
Lagos Show Introduces Reserved Seating
The Lagos edition will introduce a new feature to a Bovi live show.
For the first time, every ticket holder will have a designated seat and will be able to select the preferred seat during the ticket-purchasing process.
The arrangement will apply across the venue, providing audiences with a fully reserved seating experience.
The October performances will give fans in Benin City and Lagos the opportunity to experience the comedy material that has taken Bovi from a sold-out performance at Indigo at The O2 in London to six sold-out shows across Canada.
