The Enugu State Government has officially taken over the Digital Industrial Park (DIP) and Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), marking a major milestone in the state’s drive to strengthen digital infrastructure and promote innovation.
The handover ceremony took place at the Government House, Enugu, on August 4, 2026, with Governor Peter Mbah receiving the facilities from the Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC, Dr. Aminu Maida.

The event was attended by the Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia, the Secretary of the NCC, Mr. G.T. Mohammed, and other senior government and NCC officials.
The transfer of the facilities is expected to enhance digital skills development, innovation, entrepreneurship and ICT-driven economic growth in Enugu State, while supporting Nigeria’s broader digital economy agenda.
