Whenever U.S. President Donald Trump travels abroad, an unusual security protocol follows him. During visits such as the NATO Leaders Summit in Ankara, Turkey, everything he excretes is collected in a special portable toilet system and taken back to the United States instead of being left on foreign soil.
The long-standing security measure is designed to prevent foreign intelligence agencies from accessing the president’s biological waste, which could potentially reveal sensitive health or medical information. Secret Service agents oversee the process as part of the extensive security arrangements that accompany the U.S. president on international trips.
