The Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has commenced the CGC BA Adeniyi Football Tournament, with the opening match held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the The Polytechnic Ibadan Football Field.
The tournament, which features teams from sister security agencies across Oyo State, is designed to strengthen inter-agency collaboration, foster unity, and promote physical fitness among personnel.
In the opening fixture, the Nigeria Customs Service Football Club faced the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Football Club in a tightly contested encounter. Both sides failed to find the back of the net, settling for a 0–0 draw.
The competition is scheduled to run from May 1 to May 19, 2026, with participating teams expected to battle for honours in a spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
The Oyo/Osun Area Command reaffirmed its commitment to initiatives that enhance cooperation among security agencies while also promoting the welfare and well-being of its personnel.
