NSCDC FCT Commandant Bags PhD in Security and Strategic Studies
The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, Dr. Olusola Odumosu, has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Security and Strategic Studies.
The honour was conferred at the 8th Combined Convocation Ceremony of Nasarawa State University, held on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The award recognises Dr. Odumosu’s contributions to knowledge in security administration, strategic leadership, and national development.
His academic achievement underscores a sustained commitment to intellectual growth and professional excellence within the security sector. His research and field experience have contributed to policy development, operational efficiency, and the strengthening of internal security systems in Nigeria.
As Commandant of the FCT Command, Odumosu has been credited with promoting collaboration among security agencies, improving the protection of critical infrastructure, and advancing community-based security initiatives across the territory. His attainment of a doctoral degree highlights the importance of continuous learning and capacity building in addressing evolving security challenges.
