Fidelity Bank Plc is set to host a high-level virtual webinar aimed at addressing revenue challenges in Nigeria’s public sector, with a focus on improving fiscal transparency and strengthening digital systems.
The webinar, scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2026, is themed “Digital Fiscal Transparency: Unlocking Sub-national Opportunities for International Partners.” It will bring together public sector leaders, development institutions, heads of government agencies, and financial experts to explore practical strategies for enhancing public finance management.
According to the bank, the session is designed to support public institutions in strengthening internally generated revenue, improving accountability, and adopting smarter digital solutions for collections and oversight.
Speaking ahead of the event, Richard Madiebo, Divisional Head, Public Sector at Fidelity Bank Plc, noted that the initiative comes at a critical time when many government institutions are under pressure to do more with limited resources.
“As public institutions seek ways to improve internally generated revenue and strengthen public trust, there has been a renewed focus on fiscal transparency, especially in light of current macro and microeconomic realities,” he said.
Madiebo explained that the webinar will highlight how digital platforms can support structured invoicing, seamless revenue collection, payment automation, transparent contractor disbursements, and real-time monitoring of revenue performance.
He added that the session will also tackle persistent challenges facing public institutions, including revenue leakages, fragmented collection systems, poor reconciliation processes, and limited visibility into financial performance.
“The webinar forms part of our commitment to providing practical solutions that support public sector transformation and stronger sub-national development,” Madiebo stated. “This aligns with Fidelity Bank’s mandate to help individuals grow, businesses thrive, and economies prosper.”
The event is expected to provide timely insights into modern revenue infrastructure and its role in driving efficiency, accountability, and improved fiscal outcomes across government institutions.
Interested participants can register for the webinar via the bank’s official website.
