“May Allah handle Buhari’s health the way Buhari handled Nigeria,” the tweet read.
The post quickly ignited fierce responses across the platform, with many Nigerians using the moment to express long-held frustrations over Buhari’s eight-year tenure. For many, his reported illness was seen as poetic justice for years marked by pain, repression, and economic hardship.
User @Osikhena2014 wrote, “Amen. May Buhari receive the same judgments given to the executioners of #EndSARS. May he receive the same reward. Amen.”
Another user, @timmy_sola, added: “This is real life. When we warn people to stop supporting evil, some defend the indefensible. You can’t simply say Amen to a prayer… If he had done what was right, you could have said Amen, but we all know he masterminded the killings of innocents.”
